| TEN is the Techie Entrepreneurial Networking event that John Woods and Rufus Evison set up. It is an opportunity for a critical mass of entrepreneurial techies to congregate and see what explodes. The distribution is 90% or more entrepreneurial techies and 10% or less people with an interest in the area. These other people include people who help businesses start, recruitment people, people who raise funds for technical start-up and any other related people that have been recommended. The last one we tried to keep down to 20-30 people, and had around 60 over the course of the evening. This one is expected to be around the same size so we are going to arrange a larger venue.
It is worth mentioning that the technical bias is to be maintained and this is not a "networking fest" where people run around with manic grins exchanging business cards. If you want to do that, then there are many venues, but this is not one. If you are interested in following or creating cutting edge technology then this is probably the right place.
